I think the point is consistency, not a particular dialect. Up here in Canada, we go both ways. (Dean is writing in "Canadian", not "British", by the way ;-).

I would've said that you Canadians were using the British spelling -- it's not original to Canada. At least I didn't say 'behavior' was the *American* spelling!


If we were writing a book (which we are), then we would pick one way and
stick with it, regardless of where we intended to publish the book.

It tripped my spell checker, and I couldn't tell what the policy is (sounds like there isn't one yet).


I'd prefer the docs to be consistent either way (it's easier for me to work with the US dialect), but don't have a problem with being 'dialect-agnostic'.
