I found other people talking about 2.0.40 in particular having some kind of weirdness with that routine to determine content length. You might have to upgrade to 2.0.47 perhaps. Seems like people have been having random problems with the problem happening all of a sudden. I saw that a programmer found that if he added a pause then everything was fine so perhaps your server load is higher and it's just now getting you to the point of the problem happening?
Just a guess.
