Mailman list server has a mirror option to mirror a list to a newsgroup and to watch a newsgroup and post messages that it sees there. I'm running innd on my Linux box for a news server. My only annoyance is that I have this mail list moderated to stop spam from hitting it, and of course anyone that posts to the newsgroup isn't on the mail list so I have to approve people to post to the list on their first post. If it wasn't for spammers then this would work perfectly.
