With the news that RedHat was dropping free support of its distro I quickly
started experimenting with Mandrake 9.2 since I heard it was based on
RedHat. It just seemed the way to go and I don't have a lot of time to learn
new distros and try them all out. When I installed Mandrake most of the
paths were the same so I figured this was probably the way to go and I still
think so.

I worked out a few other things first then I finally got around to
FrontPage. This was a nightmare to me who has very little background
experience with computers in general. Everything I know I have taught
myself. This may be a simple matter for some other people who are more
experienced and I might not be contributing to the list at all, but I wanted
to let everybody know that I did get FrontPage installed on Mandrake 9.2.

The only testing I have done really is to get my FrontPage 2000 client to
connect. Usually if I get it to connect and accept the user name and
password then everything else that is supposed to work on the Linux version
works.

Right now everything I did is in my head and as soon as I get it all down in
writing and go through it again from a fresh install I will post it here if
anybody wants to know what I did.

Josh if you want to go the Mandrake route please feel free to use any of my
notes on your site. I hope it helps because this list has sure helped me. If
I don't see any response to this message then I will assume nobody cares to
know and I won't bother posting.
