Thanks for the feedback. A couple of questions... How did you realized you didn't have gcc? Did the install script tell you or did it just bomb? Wondering if I should document using up2date to grab gcc.
Was it all the sed commands? I copied / pasted and didn't have troubles. Normally the \ makes it so you can go to another line. I am wondering how to show the line right on a web page so people can tell it should be one long line? Should I use the code or pre HTML tag? Humm... know any good sites that document shell commands where they figured out a nice way to write the lines? I got the thing about being too new too.
