Usually the "AllowOverride All" directive handles that path working. I could

limited on your docroot?

I don't believe it is the "AllowOverride All" though I did not set that. It gives me the creeps, instead I limited the functions of the AllowOverride directive to a specific subset (www.freebsddairy.org for more information).

No, I believe it is that $DOCROOT/_vti_bin/_vti_adm/fpadmcgi.exe does not exist. Or said another way, the fpadmincgi.exe is not present in the directory spec'd in the URL. I'm curious why it did not get installed during the script (fp_install.sh). Anybody have an idea?

I'm going to try the query string "?page=webadmin.htm" from the working fpadmcgi.exe and see what it is, what it provides, and how important it is to the operation of the client.

Thanks, I'll being reporting back.

Regards,
Tim

Subject: [Apache-FP] Installed...now, ?s about administration

whoohoo... :)

Apache 2.0.52
FP 5.0.2.2634

So I go to administration. The Server admin window opens. Under virtual servers i have a "dev" server set up. The first link, dev:80 wants to take me to, e.g.:
http://dev:80/_vti_bin/_vti_adm/fpadmcgi.exe?page=webadmin.htm

This gets me a 500 error. Nothing in the error log but it's easy enough to know why:
$docroot/_vti_bin/_vti_adm/fpadmcgi.exe does not exist

Do I cp this? Is it necessary? Is it required for FP client administration? Are there options that are important or different from the other options already available?

Thanks,
Tim
