They are separate conferences, and it is NOT a problem to build a track in "apache: core" and have single talks in "apache: Big data". We can for sure add Kostas to the big data committee. We are just trying to keep the committee small and efficient, based on experience. I would have thought that flink feels represented by e.g. Roman. Have you contacted LF directly (that is how I read the mail) otherwise I can do it. rgds jan i.
