Still researching the problem.

I found a "bug" while looking for the source of the problem.

The line
config.identifier = config.identifier || APE.config.identifier;

is missing in apeClientJS.js in the load function. If a user does not
provide an identifier then identifier ape_undefined is used.

Will try to look further into the problem.
