Not really, you could fetch the APE_JSF from anywhere, really. I think her problem is with the web server configuration itself.
The problem might be your documentRoot, try this configuration: Set your DocumentRoot to /home/alice/www Create the www folder in your home directory and move/upload APE_JSF folder to it.
