Hello all and sorry for the late answer,
I *completely agree* with Mikel: the proposal makes no sense to me as it
is written right now. Mikel, as you know, the design of the tagger has
not changed at all since the very beginning of its conception.
Jim, I, as Mikel, am not interested in mentoring a project that does not
solve the problem we have with missing entries in the dictionaries that
cannot be easily detected. Having said that, I have no problem if you
think that this is the way to go and you are willing to mentor this
project; honestly, I think you are wrong, but it may be the case that is
is me whose is wrong.
Chen, please has a look at the "read more" link associated to that idea
in the ideas page. You might also be interested in reading the appendix
B of my thesis describing how the Apertium tagger works.
