I only deal with Apertium, not with other tools that someone may or may not have used in conjunction with it, but I think in any event you'll have to qualify "better" - what exactly is it you hope to achieve? If you'll forgive my saying so, you seem to be confused: your tags were misplaced in the example you asked for, and now you seem to be mixing up characters with morphemes.
