Pardon if I missed somewhere in the thread, but why even go through the app
store? If the point is to have ssomething that works offline, I completely
understand, but why not just do a bang-up job on a mobile website instead?
If the goal is to make translation accessible, then the web works. If the
point is something else, analogous to android's google translating of SMS
conversations, then I can see where a native app would be good, but even
there there are ways around: a good API for translations could be used
within a native app and provide functionality for SMS or email translation.
No need for GPL signoffs there.
