First of all, get on IRC...helping via email takes ages compared to IRC.
Anyhow, that's a terminal command. Most of Apertium developing takes place
with several terminals open, running various commands. If you're not
familiar with the terminal, it's even more important to get on IRC...
Launch Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal and in that write or paste in
the part after $
