Eh... as you mention BBC, the problem there is that, often, their
stories are not translations - they happen to write equivalent
articles in multiple languages.

This is pretty much what bitextor was written for, I think, but it's
hard to know if it'll work on a given website until you try,
unfortunately - there isn't a standard convention on how to handle
multilingual editions, so each site tends to be a snowflake.
