Hi, what about beginning the work of creating a web interface that let's the users of Apertium on-line contribute to the dictionaries?
a) Suggest a better translation (one task) and submit it to the language developer(s). b) add missing words and their translation to the dictionaries. It might be a good idea to implement some kind of quality assurance: I'm thinking of something similar to the hierarchy of users in Wordpress. Roles like Editor and Author etc. A user might be promoted to a role that let's him/her directly add data after some successful additions (Author). An author might be promoted to be an Editor. Editors might review entries from new contributors before adding the contributions. Maybe some kind of incentive would be proposed to the users that contribute? Let alone that a better translation is, of course, a reward in it self. As as start, let's take the easy ones: maybe nouns only? And something similar for the Apertium-Caffeine! Optionally sending suggestions to better translations and/or contributions.
