Dear all, our 2013 Google Summer of Code student Gang Chen has successfully extended the statistical part of speech tagger in Apertium so that it may use another statistical model based on sliding windows. He has performed regression testing to check that he has not broken anything in the original HMM-based tagger, and everything seems alright.
