So, the lttoolbox part was merged because it is harmless and useful for
others.

The apertium patch should also be merged, or we'll have a situation where
compiled files won't be compatible depending on whether you got apertium
from .deb/.rpm or from svn.

If it is eventually shown to be a performance issue, the bigger change of
caching a compiled version on first run can be implemented.
