I was also having this problem - in my case I believe it had something
to do with the wi-fi service I was connected to at the time - I got an
IP address but the wi-fi router was not reaching the internet.  I
turned off wi-fi on the phone so that only Edge networking was
available, and it worked immediately.

Suggestion to Appigo developer team:  It seems like the app has a
generic failure message that indicates an authentication error, and it
should have separate messages for other failure conditions; in my case
it seems like the actual error was being unable to connect to
toodledo.com, not a login/password mismatch.
