Thank you for the suggestion to make the error messages more detailed. As we continue to enhance Todo, this is something we will look into.
Another thing to look at is to look at the diagnostic information. You can access it in Todo's Settings -> Synchronization -> Email Diagnostic Report. Sometimes it will say things like "timed out"/etc. When in doubt, add a little message to the email to explain what is going wrong and send us the report. We'd be more than happy to help you with any problem you might encounter.
