       1) We are talking about a non issue here. The iphone rings, plays
music, has alarms, ringtones, calendar alerts, sms alerts, should I stop
now? Do you think people are not using it because it has these things? This
is exactly what the silent button is for.

I have a wav file of the Batman Animated character saying "Good Job!" Every
time I complete a task I would love to hear that. It would engage me and
others (depending on their choice of wav/mp3/whatever) in their relationship
with their tasks. Even better how about a vocal countdown of tasks due
today. I have 5 tasks due today. I complete one and it says 4 more to go.
Okay maybe I am going too far but I know there is a competing to do program
that uses sounds and every geek sci fi person can relate to a gadget that
responds with audible feedback when they are on a mission. Also it shouldn't
be too difficult to implement.

       2) Competitor gooeydo has something like this. It says how many of
your tasks were
completed on time. I wouldn't mind a simple tracking of tasks
completed using a
bar graph and a category/context pie chart. You get the idea.

       3) The iphone doesn't allow copy and paste. You could also say this
is a fundamental aspect of
the iphones functionality. Remember the milk one of your sync
partners has this functionality.
You could consder it being in line with their product. Like I said
your product provides 2 ways
of deleting a task. I wonder how many iphone users actually use the
swipe to delete. I would
go on to further ask you "Which do you think happens more deleting
tasks or completing them"
You should consider you application as it's own environment and
cater to actions appropriate
within it. Swipe to delete was appropriately introduced for email
management. Tasks are not emails.

      4) I concur 100%. In fact on reviewing the iphone calendar after
writing this I couldn't think of a simpler way. Perfect suggestion.

      5) You say it perfectly. "we put a shortcut to add them rather than
switching to the contacts app"
So, are you saying you make it easier for people to add contacts
without having to go to another
Program? That is exactly what I am saying except I am asking that
this be more accessible from
the main screen. You sell a product you want people to use. In
that environment there is a way to
add a contact. Are you saying that should only be for when someone
is adding a contact to a task? I am saying if I can have a shortcut to
create a contact from your program I won't have to go to iphone's contact
manager and I can spend more time at todo. Where it should be placed is a
minor design choice. Why include this? I say because tasks and people are
practically inseparable. In fact you may want to additionally add a way for
people to create tasks from a contact. I sometimes think people first then
task second like when you want to see an agenda you have with someone. You
may want to see a listing of tasks related to them .That may actually
involve creating additonal functionality but viewing a list of contacts from
your app and creating one doesn't seem to be.

party apps. Ever heard of I want
Sandy? She takes email commands or used to before being bought by
twitter. I think you can
massively differentiate your program if you provide the option to
interact with other service through
their simple communication structures. How? gopingme.com takes email
and sms commands.
For instance, "text or email me back in 10 minutes." What is
required is just text being sent
to a specific email. So set up a "Gopingme" functionality that only
requires the input of the
secret email. Then you have a go ping me button. I click on it and
type. "remind me to call
back in 20 minutes" Your program send that text to the secret email
and gopingme sends
back a text reminder in 20 minutes. All you program has to do is
send the text by email to
that email already entered for go pingme. This is just one service.
I know another that does
        reminder calls.

was unofficial :-)
