I'll cast another vote for the month pop up view... but keep the date
list, too!
In other words, give us the best of both worlds-- a combination of the
date list (tomorrow, several days, next week) AND a month view pop up.
As to the date list, I like what Can Do on the Palm does--it shows
these choices:
Today
Tomorrow
Day after tomorrow
This Friday
Next Monday
Week from today
Start of next month
Plus one day [from the task's current date]
Plus one week
No date
Choose date...
It works incredibly well and makes for a quick way of rearranging a to-
do list. Several of them (e.g., Day after tomorrow and Plus one day
or Plus one week) provide greater versatility than just listing each
day of the coming week.
One improvement I'd like to see in the Todo date list is to include
"Yesterday" as well, so that one can use that to make a todo show up
at the top of a list sorted by date.
Also, while I realize that the iPhone/IPT UI isn't built around menus,
Can Do uses a slick popup menu system-- tap the date and up pops the
date list. It's faster than wading through a series of dialog boxes,
but I realize would require a major revamping of Todo's structure.
But maybe there's a way that a tap would go directly to the date list
screen.
As always, appreciate your listening to user input--and the incredible
richness of the app!
