I'd also like some sort of backup solution for ToDo. In particular, it would be great to have the option to replace the "sync" button with an "export" button that would export the ToDo database to an email address or webhost. This, with the addition of a fix for recurring subtasks, would make a decent alternative.
As a paying Toodledo customer, I'm pretty disappointed in their lack of adequate backup strategy.
