Greetings Apple II List people! I just wanted to take a quick minute to introduce myself.
The first computers I ever used were Apple II's back in school, however I never owned one myself. I had a TRS-80 Coco, then later PC's. Recently, I rescued 3 IIgs boxes from being taken to the dump, and in the next few weeks I am looking forward to remembering my Apple II days and getting hopefully at least one of them working. My main concern has been the technical aspects of using a IIgs in the modern computing age. The questions I have now involve how to get the IIgs online, or transfer files from a PC to it. I currently have a home cable modem network using a D-Link Router, and in the past I have been able to hook a Mac up to it for internet access via ethernet. I have read that I may be able to put a low end mac with ethernet onto my network - then use it to serve to the IIgs? I haven't found clear information how to do this however. I would like to thank everyone in advance on the help I am sure I will receive here!
