Matt, the Apple Multiple Scan monitors will not be able to display 640x200, which is the Apple IIgs resolution. You'll need the Apple IIgs RGB monitor to do that, or, use a TV with RCA jacks. I used my first IIe with our 27" Sony TV back in the late '80s, when I wanted a color monitor... Otherwise, I used the old Monitor /// that I had for it. Same thing with the IIgs upgrade that I had done when the Saturn Systems 128K RAM card blew the bus on the IIe's motherboard. The other option is the older monitors for the IIe and the IIc. > I have a few older Macs, including a Mac TV (running System 7) and I was hoping that > I could write > ProDOS disks with this computer. That would be the Apple 3.5 Drive, which was originally sold as an option for the IIgs, as well as the Mac Plus. Also useable with the Laser UDC card in a IIe or other expandable II. With respect to .DSK images, you'll need the ADT program, as well as a copy of Shrink-It!. That's how I did a lot of file transfers for my current //e and the IIgs that I had for a while in '01 and early last year. You might also want to consider getting a copy of ProType and a copy of ZTerm for the Mac you'll be doing the file transfers with. > Finally, this is going out on a limb, but I am looking for a copy of a program I > played in grade > school.
