I think the "easiest" way to archive Apple ][ programs (assuming they are 
not copy protected) is to use a 5 1/4 drive and a 3 1/2 drive on the GS. 
I did this for a person in Canada a few years ago. She had data files on 
5 1/4 disks she had used with a ][c. Then she got a Mac, got rid of the 
][c, and realilzed her data was unreadable. I put the data on a couple of 
3 1/2 disks and, as an expreriment, burned it to a CD also. She should be 
able to get at it with just about any machine.
