The latest Gs power supply was a high output power supply. It has the metal case and not the aluminum case. Astec did their homework on that design. The //Gs aluminum case is good for parts for the //e power supply. We made a power supply power resistor array tester that was cooled by a fan powered by the power supply. We would run the repaired power supplies for a week straight to test them. I have spent more hours that I care to admit repairing defective Apple Astec power supplies.
