I *HIGHLY* recommend against using a TV, though, as your //c is only going
to be usable in 40-column mode in that case. The overall image quality is
going to be a bit worse. If you have good eyesight, and a newer TV, you
might be able to read 80-column text on the TV but you'll be doing a bit of
squinting. A TV can be a good intermediate step to get your //c up and
running but I wouldn't plan on making it your permanent display.
Yeah, I definitely agree. The TV is good for games or 40 column stuff though. Actual color composite computer monitors will give a sharper picture, but it's sometimes still hard to get good, legible 80 column text. A lot of the official Apple monitors are much sharper, however, I've found that the Color Monitor IIe and //c both give pretty sharp 80 column text. A monochrome monitor will always give the sharpest text, in any case. Both color and monochrome monitors should be pretty easy to find, if not locally, then on eBay or similar. Shipping shouldn't be _that_ bad on a monitor like this, since they're not normally terribly heavy (compared to 17" and 19" PC/Clone monitors...).
