IIRC, the IIgs upgrade involve a new mainboard and base plate --
but the IIgs mainboard will fit into the IIe case if you are willing
to hack up the rear panel a bit.  It will need a new power supply
connector, and you will want a ROM1 machine (in order to solder on
a header for the keyboard).
