Had to think a bit, but I do remember that when I used the IIc for making disks from images, it was only able to run at 1200 baud reliably, but, I believe there was a bug fix in the $00 ROM that did help to get it to 9600. I did use it at 9600, except that I didn't use it for ADT by that point, since I had a Unidisk 3.5" by then. I downloaded them and then used the IIgs and Asimov for making the images to disks. Since then there have been major advances, including, Uthernet and Contiki, which can download an image and directly write it to a real disk. I absolutely love that feature, so, there is no need for ADT or conversion to disk with anything. Of course this only works on 5.25 disk images, but the rest is coming. :o)
Bill Garber : Bill--what about the difference in the //c's : that had the serial port crystal upgraded to : do more than 1200 baud? IIRC there was a : problem with some early //c's being able to : be stable at faster speeds. -- Apple2list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Apple2list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/apple2.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:apple2list@mail.maclaunch.com> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/apple2list%40mail.maclaunch.com/> iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com
