The newer Logitech mouse drivers supports 3-button PS/2 mice. The
linux gpm mouse driver and Xwindows under linux also support these kinds 
of mice.

One of the best thing about these mice is that they can be used with the
PS/2 port or a 9-pin serial port using a adapter that comes with
most of these mice.
