AFAIK there are several rolls of film on one CD, they just add it after the others (by using multi-session). Arachne 1.50b2 is one of the most stable there is and IMO is much better than 1.50 src - the "src" ended up being a joke. <g> A 1.50b2 is also a hell of a lot better LOOKING than later versions. I use it on my '486 and I like it so much I don't want to upgrade it. Question: Why are upgrades required to be tradeoffs ? I mean, it seems to be the same in ALL software. BTW, write-protecting ARACHNE.CFG is not really a good solution to the problem, especially for those who like to change their user options while in the middle of a session. Most of us might frequently have a need to turn frames and/or images off. In order to change these options, the write-protect attribute must first be removed. Running DR-DOS, v. 7.02. Running Arachne 1.70, rev. 3, on ramdisk and cache on ramdisk. Images on and frames on. BTW, the page was downloaded and was rendered and displayed rather quickly considering that it is so complex and with a lot of stuff. It handles high res graphics fantasticly well, considering how many different video cards and built-in video BIOSes that are out there. I have to use Win3.1 for some things ... in particular working with graphics files. But that's a challenge, because Win3.1 doesn't have a driver that matches my video card, and my video card didn't come with a driver for Win3.1 although it was supposed to according to the video card mfr's website [that's another disgusting long story]. I crop, convert, flip, switch, whatever in Win3.1 ... but then I go back to Arachne to see what the finished product looks like. I wish there were a way that Michael or someone else on his xChaotic team could produce OEM drivers for Win3.x that would do the same great job the built-in drivers for Arachne do. I bet there would be a market for them, since the major video card people don't support DOS or Win3.x for their own hardware. And even the 'win' sites, where one goes to hunt drivers, don't support Win3.x ... even when they support DOS!!
