Please enlighten me on how I should interpret the above comment. I know
nothing about the Kak virus. Is it one that is transmitted by HTML mail?
Are DOS machines immune to the Kak virus?
An HTML mail message is in reality only an ascii text file, but it is
most annoying to suffer with an attached HTML file that is the same as
the basic email message except for the HTML tags. What a waste of
bandwidth! I don't know why people send us such junk, except perhaps out
of ignorance. They probably don't know any better.
It has long been believed that it is impossible to transmit a virus with
an ascii text file. I have recently heard a story that Micro$oft Outlook
can be infected with a straight-up ascii email message, but I have not
yet attempted to confirm whether the tale is true.
