;-)   The late Frank Costin, having made his name as aerodynamicist
      for Jaguar cars, went on to design the plywood-chassis Marcos
      in the early 1960s.  Part of the design rationale was to have a car
      light enough to return a good performance with a "bog standard"
      easily maintained engine.

      He also designed a single seat shopping vehicle for "housewives"
      to buy on hire-purchase.  The "Sparrow" single seat electric vehicle
      has just reached these shores from the States, but isn't so affordable.
