Ok, let's see your proof.

Great :)

I for one wouldn't think anyone would do such a thing. I always tell the
truth (on list anyway) and can only assume everyone else does as well.
I'll quote myself:
>I'm sorry but when I've used Arachne the limit has been 256 items in the
>cache directory. You'll need to double that value for the .htp files as well.
Obviously I hit 'p' instead of 't' (I can't blaim the keyboard for that now
can I <g>).
It should be:
You'll need to double that value for the .htt files as well.
(still not 100% true, but almost - JPG files will change it)
And you (L.D) wrote this as answer:
>Be honest. Have you ever gone outside Arachne, and counted the
>entries in Cache directory?
I don't think I ever responded directly to this.
There are three things I never do:
1. Hit/kick someone that is on the ground
2. Hurt a woman/someone that's younger
3. Lie (except small white ones of course <g>)
Please don't assume otherwise.
(The first two are there since some people that have heard rumours about me
from when I was a kid probably would assume I would do so - and I've never
broken either of them).
(As an even more side note, I never cheat).
Anyway, the 441 files consist of:
directories (. and ..) 2
output file (CACHE.TXT) 1
HTT 215
HTM 18
GIF 166
TXT 7
BMP 14
JPG 17
TMP 1
total 441
So, the actual things that are in your cache are:
HTM 18
GIF 166
TXT 7
BMP 14
TMP 1
total 206
And 205 is less than 256.
As you also can see 3 (17 JPG - 14 BMP) of the BMP files have been removed
from the cache.
(You have also viewed an enourmous ammount if images IMHO)
6 of the HTT files are not usefull anymore (and the 3 that have JPGs but no
BMP file to match), I wonder why they are still there.
I'm sorry L.D but your proof isn't usable for your case - it's only usable
for mine and Glenns.
Now if we only had a judge that could say "Case dismissed!" ;)
BTW: To count the number of files you have I did like this:
find "HTM" cache.txt>file.txt
edit file.txt
Removed the two top lines, went to the end of document, read what it says
on current line.
BTW2: I wonder what would happen if you download a .htt file from the net...?
