My 2cents' worth....
I am proud to say that I volunteered and served in the US-Army.
(1978 - 1980)
The key word is "volunteered". I was not forced to join against my wishes.
I thank GOD that no wars broke-out while I was in.
But, I can say that.... "I did my part to keep this country FREE"!!!
Please don't get me wrong. I do not condemn anyone who might choose
not to serve in the military of their particular country.
On the contrary....
That is one of the freedoms which I did my (small) part to protect.
After all is said and done,
The most important freedom we have is......
"The freedom to choose ones' own destiny"
Without it, we have NOTHING.
