Matt, try changing the last line above to: Base 0x2f8. - can't hurt.
Leave the comports line in autoexec. Can't hurt either.
If it still doesn't work, give a detailed description again of what
happens:
It dials ?
It connects ?
You login ?
Whatsit do ?
Whatta you do ?
What now ?
I think I may know what is wrong, and it don't have anything to do with the software.
I think it is my ISP not accepting logon or DNS.
I am in the midst of trying to straighten it out with them.
But, here is what happens:
MINITERM executes
following messages appear:
ATZ OK
DIALING 7394982 Press <Esc> to Abort
ATDT7394982
CONNECT 2400
Terminal Mode Press <ALT+P> or <F7> to exit and try PPP (SLIP)
So I press F7, and it says:
Leaving MINITERM and trying SLIP/PPP
then the modem gibberish
Then it says PPP link is down driver not installed
Then Arachne starts and the status bar says NO PACKET DRIVER FOUND
then it loads the page that is attached.
Am I missing a driver of some kind? I don't know what is all on this computer.
Thank you all for your input.
