I have had some problems getting connected to Freewwweb today also. Maybe it
is because so many of us are switching to it, that it is overloaded.
Sometimes I would get a PPP link down; other times, I got a completely black
screen that even the three finger salute would not cure. Then again,
sometimes I was able to log on.

None will connect. The server answers the phone, and everything is
fine until it gets to the password, then the negotiations fail.
The password, by the way, is entered in several scripts, dialers,
etc. on several computers, and did work, until now.<<
