Roger,
When I tried MSIE 5.0 WIN 3.1 Dialer, in Terminal Mode, where I have
to enter my username and password myself, Freewwweb says my password
is "incorrect". You know, if I hadn't already been successful with
all these various dialers and browsers, etc. in connecting, I would
think it was my faulty scripts and setups. There is nothing on their
website to indicate that they are overloaded, which I am sure is a
real possibility, in light of the trouble you are having. I'll bet
a lot of folks are busy getting their accounts set up, only to find
that they cannot connect. I had Net-T connecting to them 100% from
the first try. Arachne put in a wonderful showing, also, and I set
two machines up with .acf's for Freewwweb and Intop, and I could
easily switch between them using Arachne's dialpage.
I have not had the crashes you described. It is strange that they
would blame it on the password, if indeed it is too many online.
That'll have the newbies running in circles<g>.
