I have just done some experiments and I believe I have found a simple
way to allow re-loading of the CC and subject fields when returning to
the mail compose window.
For test purposes, I created the following URL in my Hotlist:
<LI><A HREF="mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/
[EMAIL PROTECTED]/
[EMAIL PROTECTED]/
Mailto, CC: and Subject">Preload test</A>
Please read the above as all on one line.
I then edited sendmail.ah so that the lines referring to CC and Subject
ended in the same manner as the "To" line. i.e. I inserted "URI" before
the ending ">".
Finally, I selected the above new Mailto url and the compose window came
up with the same info in all three fields. I edited out the unnecessary
in each field, composed this message and saved it to outbox.
I then returned to "Compose" via the History list and voila - the To, CC,
and Subject fields were all filled in as originally - they needed editing.
I believe this sucessfully proves that the History list can store the CC
and Subject contents. Even overnight.
All we need now is for Arachne to SAVE the CC and subject fields as an
extended URL, and then some way to specify that the FIRST item goes in
the To field, the LAST item goes in the Subject field, and all the rest
go into the CC field.
