I accessed it in a configuraion like yours (university LAN) so I doubt free
memmory is the reason.

When I visited there were four "sides" not just two. First one to the left
(containing nothing), then a list of links, then the content of the
specific link and last a new one without anything in it again.
And did you have automatic image loading on as well? (I don't remember if
this made a diffrence or not).
