Michael and All,
Changing the size of the virtual screen *does* work; I don't know if it
can be 32,768 but he did define as long because 25,000 pixels will --
and does -- work.
Word of warning!! Do not attempt this saving of BMP file for large
pages unless you have LOTS of HDD space where Arachne is installed. The
file I ended up with [pure BMP before zipping up for storage] was 25Mb
... that's twenty-five megabytes! I lost it the first time because
Arachne ran out of room on the drive and ended up just freezing there
with 100% showing.
I know, it sounds crazy saving web pages as bmp files when html code
would be much easier. But in a court of law html code doesn't mean snit
because any idiot could go in with an editor and change that code to
something else. To modify a bmp file of that size, or make one from
scratch, is FAR beyond my capabilities or the capabilities of anyone
anywhere close to me AFAIK. And that is why the bmp file *can* be
presented as evidence where html code can't if the defendent has a
half-way decent attorney.
Michael or anyone who knows, my printer is supposedly PS capable [Epson
Stylus InkJet] but I don't know how to send PS stuff to it. My
ignorance is surpassed only by my periodic arrogance. How do I get my
printer to print anything in PostScript ???
l.d.
P.S. Pardon the overquoting, but I figured someone else might want to
again read what Michael said now that I've found out it works.
