Untrue - of ca 2000 people that got the virus at my fathers work only ca 50
actually opened the attached file. If we assume each of these persons have
an address book with 20 entries and if we ignore the fact that some people
might get it several times those 50 are responsible for sending it to half
of the people that got it.

I don't know that. I do know that in the newspaper today they claimed "only
PCs can get this virus not Macs" - I'm thinking of sending them a mail
explaining that only people running Internet Explorer can get it. And only
those that also run Outlook can spread it. (There's a rumour it could
spread in mIRC scripts as well - one of the names for a variant of it was
called something like that).
