On Sat, 6 May 2000 some message from Bernie appeared before me saying,
>I don't know that. I do know that in the newspaper today they claimed "only
>PCs can get this virus not Macs" - I'm thinking of sending them a mail
>explaining that only people running Internet Explorer can get it. And only
>those that also run Outlook can spread it. (There's a rumour it could
>spread in mIRC scripts as well - one of the names for a variant of it was
>called something like that).
Yeps mIRC spreads the virus two.. I looked over the virus yesterday. And
it looks on the local harddrive where mIRC is installed.. it then installs
a trigger in mirc.ini that will send the virus to anyone joining a channel
where the user is currently chatting.
The virus it self is written very weak, obviously written by a
student. Anyone which can write a little visual basic could have build
this virus..
