As I stated earlier you must use "T" for text-mode support. I never use the
mouse in text-mode (only in Arachne, QPV and games) so it isn't that
strange as an option IMO.

That's my oppinion as well - I've got only a few (2?) mails that a Logitech
mouse on com-port works, most (4?) people tell me it doesn't work, with
CTMouse (even Michael comlained). QEMM might be a culprit in one of those
cases as well...
