Howard, I have used NS for almost all my mail until recently. Now that
Arachne has grown up a bit (decent editing and pasteing added) I took the
time to customize the mail part of my install so I didn't have to type in
a really tiny box - just a small one <g>.
I have now been using A1.62 and 1.64 to exchange a reasonable amount of mail-
(10%) of NS volume and found her to be VERY useable. WITH the mods.
The problems of the past are mostly that.
What you are likely to run into are slight problems handling attachments.
If, for any reason - Arachne can't find or process the attachment, you
will have to return to compose and try again.
Also, don't leave a work in progress. <g>
I have managed to create a way around THAT, but even *I* don't trust it yet.
Sending and receiving seems very fast compared to NS.
I haven't lost any incoming mail yet, but I don't have trouble with NS until
I get a thousand or so messages on hand.
The mail folder business is a bit of a pain now, because someone added a
sorting function that puts the "ZIP" folder an annoying distance away.
This WILL change.
