Hey guys -
I just signed up for Dialfree just a couple of days ago. I have found
that it works just fine with Arachne. See http://www.dialfree.net.
This is an absolutely free ISP! There is a "catch". You have to fill
out their monthly survey forms. If you fail to respond you will have
$19.95 charged against your credit card. I don't know what will be
in the survey forms. I haven't received one yet. They say that you can
expect to receive your first survey form about a month after signing up.
Would someone from the list please send me an old blank survey form so
that I would know what to expect?
The setup configuration is unusual in that your login username is not
the same as your POP3 username. Your login username is
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" Your POP3 username is simply "username" The
password is the same for logging in to the ISP as well as for logging in
to your mail servers.
Don't try to understand the instructions on Dialfree's web-page. They are
very poorly written. I was able to figure out my setup configuration
only by experimentation.
