The glue header format used by SMTPOP.EXE is one of several "standard" ones specified in RFC822. The format is the same as the header format that is produced automagically by the Barebones DOS email system. SMTPOP.EXE will work just fine as a standalone program provided you write the header format correctly. BTW, this message was sent using SMTPOP.EXE as a standalone program.
