Hello Steven

That is not the point. I can not download 110meg
with a 14000 modem to buildup a Slackware installation.
In Germany you get 2 or 3 cds for free at every corner
but that is SuSE or Corel or RedHat. Under that point
of view Slackware is no majorplayer. When you are under
DOS the problem starts when such cds asked for win9x to
start the installation (my old cd-drive can not boot). I
take SuSE because it has a DOS-setup. To make a long story
short I get a 220meg installation with AfterSTEP (I like
that NextSTEP look and fell :) and Netscape 3.04. What I
get is a great looking system and relativ fast on a p60
with 16MB you may compare it with win2000, but try to install
win2000 on a p60 with 16MB ;)
However, Steven could you post on your website or mail a short
listing of that Slackware-system? I think that would help
Linux-newbies like me with lowend DOS-comps.

regards, Joerg
