Dear list:
I had been losing about one in 20 emails at the save stage. Thinking it
was just a corrupt version of Arachne 1.62 I downloaded 1.67, found it
worked OK and so far has not refused wordwrap.
It did however just eat a letter to Sam by throwing up the "save" screen
and if you do you get the .htm of the email you were replying to.
I have found I can dredge the letter out of TEXTAREA.tmp and paste it
back together again, but my question is why this occasionally happens.
I thought I had it sorted out in my last post, blaming it on a non legitimate "to field
OH HELL wordwrap just failed. I find that intensely irritating.
I will have to go back to using Pegasus which I had been neglecting as this machine is
fast enought to run
Insight.
The only defect I found with running Pegasus under Arachne is that strange
phantom"n"s started appearing all over the place in little ghostly spots
though they did not seem to do any harm, past looking silly.
No "n"s in 1.67 but two modem dropouts in half an hour - that is a new
problem.
Now to see if this email will save......
