I tried to view that message in Arachne 1.67, after block-copying the whole
thing in raw-data form including headers from my big mail download file.
Arachne 1.67 gave Load Error, couldn't even find the file, while Arachne 1.48,
which I haven't yet got around to deleting, viewed the message, and I was able
to click on the attachment sign and display it. But when I tried to trash it, I
got the following error message
<!-- Generated by MailMan 3.3; farcoreleft=511184-->
<!-- Query string: fn=E:\ARACH148\CACHE\73894614.RFC&folder=TRASH -->
Cannot move file E:\ARACH148\CACHE\73894614.RFC to
E:\ARACH148\CACHE\TRASH\73894614.MES.
I find there is no TRASH directory under CACHE.
Strangely, I got an error with MPACK\MUNPACK, said something was incorrect and
couldn't unpack the attachment.
Something wrong with Arachne word wrap which I notice again but remember from a
long time ago is dropping one letter.
... It is ONLY with a
tomated mail like this, from this server.
that first of two lines quoted actually going to column 128.
Fruity error, I wondered about tomatoes in the email <g>, until I noticed u
missing.
Now from Glenn McCorkle, I see that the initial l in "line" is chopped off:
This line will be typed with a space at the end of the line and when I reach my "word
wrap point" it will not wrap to the next
ine.
The above line is 133 characters long beginning with "This" and ending
with "line. " (the trailing space might get "cropped-off" in transit)
So here it is with a ")" added to the end by placing a second trailing
space at the end of the line.
This line will be typed with a space at the end of the line and when I reach my "word
wrap point" it will not wrap to the next
ine. )
(end of quote)
I am using EPM (OS/2 Enhanced Editor), not Arachne, to type this.
